In a fresh drive to educate the masses on the recent tax amendments, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) will conduct a seminar on ‘Value Added Tax and Income Tax,’ which will in detail articulate the recent amendments made to these taxes.
Scheduled to be held on 8 April at the ICASL Auditorium at Colombo 7, the seminar will see the participation of high-end tax experts who will speak on the recent amendments made to both VAT and Income Tax.
Deputy Commissioner General of the Department of Inland Revenue H.B.A. Seneviratne, Senior Tax Advisor from the Department of Fiscal Policy Dhammika Gunathilaka and Deputy Commissioner – VAT Refund Unit of the Department of Inland Revenue B.A.D.D. Herath will be the speakers at the seminar.
The panellists at the seminar will be Lakmali Nanayakkara – Partner, Ernst & Young; Suresh Perera – Principal, Tax & Regulatory, KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co; Nisreen Rehmanjee – Vice President, Head of Group Tax, John Keells Holdings PLC; and Nilanthi Sivapragasam – Chief Financial Officer, Aitken Spence & Co. Ltd.
