HSBC’s Head of Wholesale and Market Risk for Asia Pacific in town

Johnny Crichton, Head of Wholesale and Market Risk for Asia Pacific will arrive in the country on Friday, 3 June 2011 for a four day business visit to Sri Lanka and Maldives.

During his official visit, he will meet with Nick Nicolaou, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Sri Lanka and the Maldives, Senior Management of the bank and key customers in both Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Since joining HSBC in 1980 and becoming an International Officer, Crichton has worked in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. He has held many senior management roles in personal financial services, commercial banking, operations, marketing, audit and international.

Before taking up his current position, Crichton was senior manager for Credit Systems at HSBC’s Group Management Office – Risk in the UK. He also completed two assignments in HSBC France in Credit & Risk and Vietnam as chief risk officer of Techcombank – an associate of HSBC.

In his current position, Crichton is responsible for the oversight and management of HSBC’s Regional Wholesale Credit and Market Risk function for Asia Pacific.
