HSBC announced the launch of their latest privilege program targeting senior citizen credit/debit cardholders over 55 years. The new offering valid until 31 December 2014, seeks to complement the lifestyle needs of this segment with benefits on healthcare, lifestyle electronics, opticians and daily essentials. The program will be a useful way to save more on everyday expenses. Apart from preferential pricing, cardholders, can also earn Rewards points and enjoy a 51-day credit period on their credit card. Head of Cards, Products and Service James Rebert said: “The needs of our senior citizen cardholders are significantly different to that of a younger audience and can often be costly. We looked at a combined offering that enable HSBC credit/debit cardholders who are 55 years and above to avail themselves of special benefits that support their lifestyle. We believe the credit card has more benefits for this segment, as they could also enjoy the 51-day credit period which costs them nothing to use and gain access to our global Home&Away Privilege Program, when they travel overseas.” HSBC credit/debit cardholders over 55 years can benefit from savings on daily essentials at Keells Super outlets with a 20% saving across all K choice products (excluding pulses), when they present a discount voucher at the counter, which they will  receive via post or can be obtained from an HSBC branch. To be eligible for the promotion cardholders will need to present a proof of identification at the point of purchase.
