HSBC will reach another milestone with the expiry of its current loyalty Rewards programme on 30 June 2011, having rewarded over 400 million points to credit cardholders.
While ending the current Rewards scheme in June, the new scheme will be announced shortly the Bank said where cardholders will be able to reap multiple benefits by using their credit card on everyday purchases.
The existing popular Rewards programme entitles cardholders to earn one reward point for every Rs. 100 spent at HSBC partner outlets ranging from supermarkets, restaurants and retail outlets.
The ease of redeeming accumulated HSBC Rewards points is beyond par with others, with over 600 merchant locations for customers to redeem these points. Other diverse options include converting points to air miles on board the Bank’s top airline partners and their respective frequent flyer programmes.
These include Asia Miles on Cathay Pacific, KrisFlyer on Singapore airlines, Privilege Club on Qatar Airways and King Club on Kingfisher Airlines. Cardholders could also convert their Rewards points to Star Points with Dialog Telekom and redeem as applicable.
