HSBC Global Payments and Cash Management has once again been voted best domestic cash management bank in Sri Lanka. This is the fourth year that HSBC has been voted the best cash management bank, having won this title in 2008, 2009 and 2010 in Euromoney’s highly regarded Cash Management Survey.
HSBC dominated the domestic survey across Asia, being voted first in 14 other markets including Bangladesh, Brunei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
HSBC was also named best global cash management bank and best regional cash management bank in Asia and the Middle East. Achieving this ranking reaffirms HSBC as the leading provider of integrated cash management services, exemplifying the bank’s profile in global, regional and local markets.
Chamira Wijetilleke, Head of Corporate Banking at HSBC Sri Lanka, said: “We are honoured to have received this award for 2012. This is the fourth year that we have been voted number one and is a testament to our leadership status in Sri Lanka, Asia and globally ahead of our peers and competitors.
“We look to further develop our global payments and cash management franchise to unparalleled levels, manifesting our commitment to our clients by providing them with excellent service and use of technology for product innovation supported by the best team of cash management professionals.”
In its 12th year, the survey recognises leadership in cash management through the polling of banks’ corporate and institutional clients. Treasury and finance professionals worldwide were asked to indicate which international banks they currently use for their cash management services.
They were then asked to rate the services provided by their lead cash management bank across various categories, such as the effectiveness of their cash management solutions, quality of service and support, sophistication of banking technology and systems security.
Sohantha Wijesingha, Head of Global Payments and Cash Management for HSBC Sri Lanka, stated, “We are delighted to have been voted by clients as the ‘Best Domestic Cash Manager’ in Sri Lanka in recognition of our commitment to the delivery of tailor made cash management solutions for businesses across a wide range of industries and segments.
“This endorsement is very encouraging and we will continue to deliver the best in class services and product innovation to maintain our leading position in this space, locally and globally.”
