In an endeavour to provide convenient banking facilities to patients, visitors and employees, HNB, Sri Lanka’s largest private sector bank, announced the establishment of a new customer centre at Colombo’s leading private healthcare institution, Lanka Hospital.
Essentially catering to more than 2,000 employees and the staff of the hospital, plus creating convenience for patients, the HNB customer centre at Lanka Hospital will be open daily from 8.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Saturdays. The on-site ATM will be available throughout and is accessible 24/7.
The branch was jointly inaugurated by HNB Managing Director Jonathan Alles and Lanka Hospital Chairman Dr. Sarath Paranavitane, with HNB Assistant General Manager SME Jude Fernando, HNB Regional Head Greater Colombo Neil Rasiah, Lanka Hospital’s Director Medical Services Dr. Iresha Fernando and Lanka Hospital’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Badrajith Siriwardane also present at the occasion.
The inaugural function was also attended by other dignitaries including high-level officials from both the bank and hospital as well as consultant medical practitioners. With this opening, the HNB distribution network now stands at 252 branches and 463 ATMs island-wide
Alles in his address said that HNB was happy to partner Lanka Hospital in bringing convenience to patients. “We are committed to placing customers at the heart of the banking operations and understand that our customers do have cash flow needs on an urgent basis. A customer centre in this location will avoid unnecessary commute times and we are happy to be able to fulfill this need.”
“Over the years, through our strategic partnerships we have increased our presence across Sri Lanka to make banking more and more convenient to our customers; living up to our reputation of banking beyond transactions,” he stated.
“We are very happy to have HNB as our official banking partner,” said Dr. Paranavitane. “As a homegrown financial institution and the largest private sector bank in Sri Lanka, we have no doubt that HNB will provide excellent banking services to various segments of our clientele,” he said.
