HNB disburses 13 loans under Swashakthi – Million Jobs Program

Hatton National Bank has disbursed 13 Loans under the Swashakthi – Million Jobs Program, refinanced by the CBSL, launched on an initiative of the Prime Minister. The HNB is the first participating bank to make disbursements.

A total of 9,100 applications have been received by participating banks. Of these the BOC 1,831, People’s Bank 2,649, and RRDB 3,974 have received the largest number of applications. However, these banks have not made any disbursements to date.

These facts transpired at a progress monitoring conducted by the CPMU and the Department of Project Management and Monitoring of the Ministry of National Policy and Economic Affairs at the National Operations Room, Temple Trees.

The speed at which the HNB has taken steps to disburse these loans was commended.
