HNB Assurance was adjudged a winner in the ‘Service Industry’ category at the Global Awards for Brand Excellence, in recognition of its contribution towards the insurance industry through strategic marketing initiatives carried out by the company.
The award was presented to HNB Assurance at the 2012 Global Awards for Brand Excellence of the World Brand Congress, held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, on Friday, 23 November, at a gala ceremony at which brand builders from many countries were present.

The Award was accepted in Mumbai on behalf of HNB Assurance by Dilshan Perera, the company’s head of marketing. HNB Assurance PLC has recorded remarkable growth rates of 265% and 336% in respect of profit before tax and profit after tax respectively for the nine months ended 30 September 2012. Accordingly, it has reported a profit before tax of Rs. 173.85 million and a profit after tax of Rs. 139.89 million as per the interim financial statements released to the Colombo Stock Exchange.
