HNB Assurance pays off Rs. 21 m in claim settlement in one day

Innovative insurance solutions provider demonstrated its capacity and absolute commitment of keeping its promise to customers, by honouring two claim settlements amounting to Rs. 21 million under general insurance on 17 January 2013.

The beneficiaries were a proprietor of a rice mill from Polonnaruwa Sulaiman Lebbe and H.R.S.K. Gayan proprietor of a hardware shop from Tissamaharama respectively.

These claims are a result of floods which damaged the normal life of Sri Lankans recently and a fire which has unexpectedly destroyed a business over a couple of minutes.

Speaking at the event Sulaiman Lebbe,policy holder of HNB Assurance stated “I am very happy to be with HNB Assurance. These types of speedy claim settlements can be taken as an example for all other Insurance companies in the country.”

“It is our duty to take care and nurture the entrepreneurs of this country, we are ready to serve them with the right Insurance solutions to safeguard them from business uncertainties,” the company’s General Manager Marketing and Distribution Lalith Fernando said.

“We are happy to settle these claims without any disturbance of the day-to-day life of our policyholders on time. And we assure that we will serve our customers with utmost care” stated HNB Assurance General Insurance general manager Niranjan Manikkam.
