HNB Assurance (HNBA), a member of the HNB group, recently held two of their foremost events, the Annual Achievers Symposium and Bancassurance Conference at the Galadari, Colombo. These two events felicitated top performers of the Life Distribution Channel of HNBA.
The main focus of the Achievers Symposium was to recognise the top contributors of the Advisor Channel covering the HNB Assurance branch network consisting of 52 branches island-wide. Throughout the years the Advisor Channel has been a primary source that contributed immensely to the business growth of the company. The event included a panel discussion with 10 MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) qualifiers from the Advisor Channel. The MDRT is recognised as the premier association of financial professionals with over 40,000 members representing 76 nations and HNBA is proud to have these qualifiers representing the company.

Both the events were held under the patronage of HNB Assurance Acting CEO Niranjan Manickam with many other officials representing the top management of HNB and HNB Assurance. Chief Guest, Niranjan Manickam addressed the gathering stating, “HNB Assurance has achieved a strong position in the insurance industry mainly due to the skills and dedication of our sales force. We are very confident of the prospects for our company in the future and look forward in enabling them to achieve even greater success in the years to come.”
The Bancassurance Conference highlighted the top achieving Bancassurance Officers that contributed to the significant growth of HNB Assurance. The winners were classified into several categories and the top performers were awarded with tour packages consisting of Platinum and Crystal tours. These awardees were gifted with all-expense paid overseas tours. It was heartening to note that there were four Bancassurance Officials who were MDRT qualifiers and appreciation awards were given to these individuals.
Among the top management of HNB, Assistant General Manager of Deposits and Remittances Kelum Wijesooriya stated, “On behalf of Hatton National Bank, I would like to add a few words to the enduring growth of HNBA. It is a proud moment to witness the progression of the HNBA Bancassurance channel; we do not distinguish the Bancassurance units from our respective branches hence we consider all HNBA’s dedicated teams as our own family and we continue to give our fullest support in developing and strengthening this channel as we can see an enormous potential in providing insurance services for the customers of HNB.”

We are immensely proud of the dedication and hard work of our Bancassurance Officers and we hope to see continuous improvement in performance levels this year as well.”
