George Steuart Finance PLC today relocated its Gampaha branch to a more central and spacious location in the heart of the Gampaha town to better serve the increasing needs of its customers in the area. First opened in 2010, the Gampaha branch has seen a steady inflow of customers due to the ever increasing business potential of the area and the quality of service offered by George Steuart Finance. Now relocated to No. 35A, Mary Bisso Mawatha, Gampaha, the branch was declared open by chief guest George Steuart Finance PLC Chairman Eastman Narangoda amidst a gathering comprising the Board of Directors along with other management, staff, customers and well wishers. In addition to being in a central location the new branch is also housed in a much larger building with ample parking facilities. Gampaha which means five towns has also been called Henarathgoda in the past and is historically renowned for being the location where the first rubber tree in Sri Lanka was planted. Gampaha today is a flourishing town with much business potential stemming from the entrepreneurial talents of its residents. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new branch the chief guest Narangoda said: “It is with great pride that we today open our new Gampaha branch to better serve the needs of our valued customers. Over the years our Gampaha branch has seen a steady increase in customers which compelled us to relocate to an even larger building with better facilities to cater to this growing demand. We warmly invite the people of Gampaha to come experience a truly superior service offering at our new branch.” George Steuart Finance PLC Executive Director Uditha Ranweera in his address said: “Over the years, we have constantly been introducing new and better services to our customers and we felt it was fitting to couple this expansion in service, with the relocation to a new and more spacious building. Our new branch is in a better, more central location and fully enables us to handle the ever increasing customers to our branch.” GS Finance was established by a group of young professionals who strongly believed that the way forward for Sri Lanka was to build and strengthen the entrepreneurial sector. It is with this belief and spirit that a company willing to support entrepreneurs with an array of financial solutions was conceptualised and strategically implemented. The Board Directors, whose diverse backgrounds include banking, finance, legal, insurance, communication, fund management and leisure have together with the dynamic management team, harnessed their strengths in different disciplines to ensure profitable solutions for customers and consistent growth for the company.
