Fazal appointed CEO of Amana Takaful

Mohamed Fazal Ghaffoor has been promoted as the Chief Executive Officer of Amana Takaful Plc from his previous position as Chief Operating Officer.

Ehsan Zaheed, the former CEO, since 1st October 2003, will continue as an Executive Director of the Company.

Ghaffoor previously worked at Bank of Ceylon  where he served as Head of Marketing. Prior to that he was with British American Tobacco in East Africa, Pakistan and Iran from 2011 to 2008 as Marketing Director. Prior to this overseas secondments, he served in many roles at Ceylon Tobacco before heading up its Marketing Division in 1997. He had also served as General Manager of Whittals Insurance and Country Manager of DHL Sri Lanka from 1993 to 1996 during his tenure with John Keells Holdings.
