The Central Bank of Sri Lanka will hold the 5th Annual Directors’ Symposium for Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) comprising of Licensed Finance Companies (LFCs) and Specialised Leasing Companies (SLCs), on the 4th December 2012 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo. The symposium will be attended by over 350 Chairmen, Directors and Chief Executive Officers of 46 LFCs and 13 SLCs.
The theme of this year’s Symposium will be ‘‘Positioning the Non-Banking Sector for the post $4K era’’. The NBFI sector has recorded a robust growth during the past few years and is expected to position NBFI business operations to support the anticipated high growth momentum in the economy. The significance of corporate planning, risk management and internal controls for a NBFI are some of the topics that are expected to be covered during the symposium. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the Governor of the Central Bank, will deliver the keynote address.
