Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC has opened a branch in Hambantota, expanding its branch network in Sri Lanka to 192 and strengthening its operations in the fast-developing southern region of the country.
The new branch at No. 104, Main Street, Hambantota, is connected to all Commercial Bank branches and supermarket banking counters in the country, enabling online real-time banking. The two ATM machines at the Hambantota branch are linked to 405 other ATMs of the bank and over one million terminals of the Cirrus (Mastercard network) and Visa networks worldwide.
The opening of the new branch is a timely development that facilitates access to banking facilities and supports the expansion of commercial activity in the area, the bank said.
