Commercial Bank heralds Avurudu with special discounts for cardholders

As anticipation builds and preparations get underway to celebrate another Sinhala and Tamil ‘Aluth Avurudu,’ the Commercial Bank of Ceylon has joined in the spirit of the occasion to offer its credit and debit cardholders attractive discounts at 14 popular clothing and footwear retailers.

Discounts of 10% to 25% will apply on purchases by Commercial Bank credit cards, and from 10% to 20% on debit cards under this promotion for specified periods between 1 and 12 April 2013, the bank said.

The participating retailers are Ashee Collection, Beverly Street, CIB Shopping Centre, Cool Planet, Dilly & Carlo, DSI, Fashion Bug, Hameedias, House of Fashion, New Sriyani Dress Point, Ranjana’s Textiles, Spring & Summer, The Factory Outlet and 7 Stories.

At Fashion Bug, Ashee Collection, Cool Planet, DSI, CIB Shopping Centre, New Sriyani Dress Point and Spring & Summer, the discounts will be offered from 1 to 12 April, while at Dilly & Carlo, The Factory Outlet, 7 Stories, Ranjana’s Textiles and House of Fashion, the discounts will be available on 6 and 7 April.  For discounts at Hameedia’s, Commercial Bank cardholders should shop from 5 to 7 April.

Beverly Street will be joining the campaign from 8 to 12 April.

Buyers of sarees will be eligible for a whopping 30% discount on credit and debit cards at Ranjana’s Textiles in Colombo and Kandy on the days the retailer is participating in the promotion.

The bank has ensured a wide choice in the selection of participating retailers offering customers an extensive range of products and many price options. The details of this seasonal promotion are available on the Commercial Bank corporate website.

In February this year, Commercial Bank launched yet another ‘Dine & Smile’ promotion for the same customer segment, with 23 participating restaurants. The promotion ends on 7 April 2013.

Such promotions significantly enhance the benefits already offered by ‘Comdeals,’ a program which provides value-addition to Commercial Bank cardholders through discounts at a number of major retail outlets in the country and 0% easy payment schemes for credit cardholders. Commercial Bank cardholders are also eligible to participate in global promotions carried out by Visa and MasterCard.
