Colombo Uni ‘Banking Day’ on 8 July

The Department of Finance, University of Colombo is organising a ‘Banking Day’ at the university to create awareness among undergraduates of their Business Administration programme. The programme will give insights from industry professionals on new regulations and the latest trends in the dynamic banking sector. The event is organised by the 2008/2012 batch of the Faculty of Management & Finance.

The keynote address will be made by P. Samarasiri – Asst. Governor Central Bank, while other guest speakers of the day include Ranee Jayamaha – Chairperson HNB, M.B. Jayasinghe of the Regional Development Bank, N. Buddhipala CFO – Commercial Bank and S.H.A.M. Aberathne of the IBSL. Banking Day 2011 will take place on 8 July at the Prof. V. K. Samarasinghe Auditorium (UCSC Auditorium) from 8.30am to 3.30 pm.
