CIMA workshop on IFRS

The CIMA Sri Lanka Division will conduct a workshop on 6 February, covering the impact of IFRS on disclosure requirements and accounting policies. The forum will take place at the CIMA auditorium from 4-7 p.m., where interactive knowledge sharing on practical business issues faced by corporate entities in respect of complying to disclosure requirements specified by IFRS as well as IFRS implications on accounting policy formulation, will take place.

Additional disclosure requirements under first time adoption and challenges faced by corporate entities in this process, IFRS 7 related disclosures to be made by the non financial entities, implications on new accounting policies, and policy selections and the applicability of disclosures to SMEs will be the topics addressed.

The speakers will be Reyaz Mihular Managing Partner, KPMG Sri Lanka and Head of IFRS, KPMG Middle East and South Africa, and Uditha de Soyza Director Department of Professional Practice KPMG, Sri Lanka.
