Chartered qualifications in Wealth Management, Islamic Finance, Risk in Financial Services and Investment Operations are now available in Sri Lanka
Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) – the premier global institute that qualifies professionals in securities and investment – has accredited CICRA Institute of Education, Sri Lanka as an accredited training provider of these qualifications.
The CISI is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK and in a growing number of major financial centres round the world.
Evolved from the London Stock Exchange, CISI now have more than 40,000 members in 89 countries. In the past year, CISI set almost 40,000 examinations in over 70 countries, covering a range of vocational qualifications.
CICRA is now accredited to run training leading to chartered qualifications in Wealth Management, Islamic Finance, Risk in Financial Services and Investment Operations.
“We are delighted to hear that the CISI, UK has selected CICRA as an accredited training provider. International Certificate in Wealth Management meets the needs of those firms who want to ensure that their staff is able to provide high-quality advice.
The qualification will ensure that wealth managers and advisers understand the range of assets and investment products that are available in the market.
It will equip them to provide financial advice and find appropriate solutions to meet the investment, retirement, protection and estate and tax planning needs of their clients.
Islamic Finance Qualification (IFQ) is a ground-breaking qualification that covers Islamic finance from both a technical and a Sharia’s perspective, providing the first international benchmark in the area of Islamic finance.
It provides candidates with an understanding of the influence of Sharia’s in a business context and prepares candidates to hold key positions in the Islamic finance and takaful (Islamic insurance) industries.
The qualification is appropriate for existing and new employees and those seeking a career in Islamic finance.
Risk in Financial Services qualification has been developed to provide candidates with a broad understanding of the key risks that arise within the financial services industry.
It is particularly aimed at risk teams, compliance teams, branch management, corporate lawyers, finance officers, senior managers of all disciplines, existing and aspiring non-executive directors.
International Operations Certificate (also known as the IAQTM) is a global practitioner-led qualification for administration and operations staff working in both wholesale and retail firms.
It equips individuals with an overview of the financial services industry and its regulation whilst also providing a detailed picture of their particular industry sector.
CICRA Institute of Education is also an accredited training centre for International Association of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), USA, the global body that certifies cyber security experts.
