Unbridled fun and unrestrained amity were the hallmarks of two excursions, one overseas and one local, conducted recently by Ceylinco Life for its policyholders under the company’s ‘Family Savari 7’ promotion. While 40 people from 10 policyholder families toured China as a reward for their loyalty to Ceylinco Life, nearly 2,000 others from 500 policyholder families spent a day on the rides and slides of the Leisure World theme park at Avissawella, courtesy of Sri Lanka’s life insurance leader. They came from every district of Sri Lanka and from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds for a day of fun and games, which included their transport to and from the location, meals and refreshments, dry and wet rides at the park, traditional ‘Avurudu’ games and treats and for five lucky families, a helicopter ride. Emphasising the geographical diversity of Ceylinco Life policyholder base, the families that won the helicopter rides were from Jaffna, Dehiaththakandiya, Matale, Maspotha and Ellangala. Meanwhile, the families that visited China under ‘Family Savari 7’, were treated to visits to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, Bird’s Nest, a pearl factory, a Ming dynasty tomb, the Silk Market, Yashow Market and a Chinese acrobat show. Addressing participants at the Leisure World outing, Ceylinco Life Director/Deputy CEO Thushara Ranasinghe said: “The Ceylinco Life Familiy Savari program is an unique event, not only because it is the largest such event organised by a corporate entity in Sri Lanka but also because it brings together people from different religions and ethnicities and gives them the opportunity to have fun together, as a one family.” In May, another five Ceylinco Life policyholder families will enjoy an all-expenses-paid visit to Japan, the top prize in this year’s Ceylinco Life Family Savari program, while another 200 people from 50 policyholder families will visit Singapore. The promotion period for Family Savari 7 was from September to December 2013, during which all active long-term Ceylinco Life policyholders and holders of Ceylinco Life Retirement Accounts (CRAs) could earn multiple winning chances that increase with the age of their policies. Independently rated one of Sri Lanka’s most valuable brands, Ceylinco Life has maintained its leadership of the country’s long term insurance sector from 2004 onwards. The company operates the largest branch network among local life insurance companies, and has won multiple international and local awards for its commitment to the community and success in brand equity building.
