The glamour and glitz of Dubai and the thrills and spills of the Leisure World theme park in Sri Lanka combined in separate but linked events to provide policyholders of Ceylinco Life with memorable experiences recently.
While 40 people – 10 policyholders and the members of their families – visited the emirate on an all-expenses-paid holiday, another 2,000 people from the families of 500 policyholders spent a fun-filled day at Leisure World as part of the 2015 edition of the life insurance leader’s ‘Family Savari’ promotion.
The Grand Prize in the Family Savari promotion this year is a holiday in Switzerland for five policyholder families, which will take place at the end of May. Another 50 policyholder families visited Singapore in mid May under the program.
The itinerary of the group that visited Dubai included a tour of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, a dinner cruise on a traditional Dhow, a desert safari and extensive shopping, the company said.
At Leisure World, Ceylinco Life policyholders were given the run of the theme park, to experience the rides and slides with their families. Additionally, five lucky policyholder families from Vavuniya, Athurugiriya, Kaithady, Morathiha and Homagama, who were chosen by a raffle draw, won helicopter rides as part of the day’s program.
In all, 2,260 people from 565 policyholder families won places at the eighth edition of the Ceylinco Life Family Savari, by far the largest interactive customer promotion in Sri Lanka’s insurance industry.
This year’s program saw two new brand ambassadors, the Sri Lankan actor Roshan Ranawana and his wife Kushlani join Family Savari veterans Sriyantha Mendis and Sanjeewani Weerasinghe to endorse and actively participate in the Savari programs.
The promotion period for Family Savari 8 ran from September to December 2014, during which all active long term Ceylinco Life policyholders as well as holders of Ceylinco Life Retirement Accounts (CRAs) earned multiple winning chances that increased with the age of their policies.
The market leader in Sri Lanka’s life insurance sector since 2004, Ceylinco Life has close to a million lives covered by active policies. The company is acknowledged as the benchmark for innovation in the local insurance industry for its work in product research and development, customer service, professional development and corporate social responsibility.
