Central Bank releases a new book on economics principles and policies

The Central Bank released its latest educational publication titled Economics Principles and Policies, the third book authored by P. Samarasiri, Assistant Governor and Secretary to the Monetary Board of the Central Bank.

This book, written in simple language, gives a step-by-step analysis of theoretical and practical aspects of the activities of the economy based on micro, macro, financial, state and foreign sectors and analytical tools. Therefore, this book is a very useful economics textbook for students sitting for the GCE (A/L), professional courses and universities who study economics and finance and their teachers as well as academia and policy-makers.

There are two other economics books authored by Samarasiri, also released by the Central Bank. These two books are now also available in Tamil. The Central Bank uses various publications and programs to improve the economic and financial knowledge of the public and this book is another publication in line with this objective.
