The 17th Annual Oration on Taxation organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) will feature former Attorney General Mohan Peiris, who will delve in-depth on a very topical theme titled ‘Justice to Taxpayers in Sri Lanka,’ to a wide-ranging audience.
The Tax Oration, which is one of the institute’s much-awaited annual taxation events, will be held on 25 October at the CA Sri Lanka Auditorium and is organised by the Institute’s Faculty of Taxation.
The Annual Oration attracts a significant number of tax professionals, including high-profile tax officials from the public sector to tax orators, members of the general public who show a keen interest in the subject, and a significant number of CA Sri Lanka members.
The Medallion for this event as in all preceding events comes from Esmond Satarasinghe, who is the only surviving member of the first CA Sri Lanka Council. He also served as a member of the Income Tax Board of Review.
