BOC launches Mega Wasi Season 2 with total prizes of Rs. 84 m

The Bank of Ceylon, Sri Lanka’s No. 1 bank is renowned for inculcating the savings habit among Sri Lankans, by promoting and maintaining their savings. Further, the bank duly rewards such account holders who are indirectly partnering in national development. BOC Mega Wasi Season 2 is offering gifts worth Rs. 84 Million with more than 4,250 gifts to be offered through three lucky draws throughout the period. Account holders with a minimum balance of Rs. 10,000 for a continuous period of four months are qualified to enter the BOC Mega Wasi Season 2. Those who maintain Rs. 10,000 and multiples in their savings accounts (Normal Savings, Ran Kekulu, 14+, 18+, Kantha Ran Ginum, Senior Citizens, Ran Govi Thanpathu, Ranaviru Ginum) and personal current accounts up to 31 July 2013 will be eligible for the first draw of BOC Mega Wasi Season 2. The customers who missed the opportunity of saving with BOC previously can now save with BOC. Customers who will maintain the required balance from 1 August to 30 November 2013 will be eligible for the 2nd draw of BOC Mega Wasi Season 2. The more the customers save; there are more chances for them to be a lucky winner from BOC Mega Wasi Season 2. A luxury Kyron Jeep is the final grand draw prize. There will be 10 Panda Cross cars offered province-wise at the final draw. In addition, there will be seven lucky millionaires, 60 lucky winners who will get Rs. 100,000 each and 4080 winners of Rs. 10,000 each from the three draws of BOC Mega Wasi season 2. For Kantha Ran Ginum account holders there will be a special arrangement of offering 100 tours to Bangkok from the three draws. The BOC Mega Wasi Season 2 was initiated under the patronage of BOC Chairman Razik Zarook, its Board of Directors, General Manager, D.M. Gunasekara and the Corporate Management of Bank of Ceylon to encourage the savings habit among Sri Lankans. In order to facilitate customer convenience, the bank’s main office now offers a 24-hour banking service that is available 365 days of the year. Its customer touch points include 609 branches, 500ATM’s, 861 foreign correspondent agents to remit money to Sri Lanka, 13 SME dedicated centres for entrepreneurs, mobile phone banking services, internet banking services, SMS banking services and premier banking centre. Bank of Ceylon also launched a night banking facility at its Wellawatte and Maharagama branches and offers weekend banking at selected locations as well as a 24-hour call centre facility for customer convenience.
