Bank of Ceylon (BOC), the premier commercial bank in Sri Lanka, which posses 1011 service points launched the Customer Day in conjunction with the Money Gram payment System Incorporation, USA at the Bank of Ceylon Kotahena branch on 24 September.
The highest number of MG payment transactions recorded in the country was handled in this branch during the year 2011. A large number of customers who received inward remittances through Money Gram were felicitated and awarded with souvenirs and gifts.
The event was organised by the Senior Manager Inward Remittances along with the Correspondent Banking Division of Bank of Ceylon as a part of the business promotion program conducted in Sri Lanka by Money Gram Payment System Incorporation in line with the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket Tournament Sri Lanka 2012.
Chief Guest Money Gram South Asia Senior Director Harsh Lambah Handed over a gift to one of the top 10 customers. The other senior executives who represented MG South Asia were Visal Krishnan Regional Operations Manager, Ashis Agravel Marketing Manager, Ananth Srivetsa Marketing Director, Rahul Dighe Marketing Executive, Bearl De Souza, Ms. Marina and representing BOC, Deputy General Manager (International Treasury and Investment) S.K. Lionel, Asst. General Manager (International) S.M.W. Samarakoon, Senior Manager (Inward Remittances) R.D. Wimalasena, Calvin Wijesooriya, Amila Thilakarathne and staff members of IR Dept. were among the guests.
