The 10th Annual Sales Convention of Asian Alliance Insurance – ‘Quality Awards 2011’ – was held on 2 August at The Blue Water, Wadduwa on a grand scale. The celebrations were themed ‘Pride of the Decade’.
AAI’s Chairman Paul Ratnayeke and Director/CEO Ramal Jasinghe graced the occasion and the Executive Committee members and senior management were present to applaud the true passion of their professional sales force. General Manager – Sales & Marketing Chula Hettiarachchi commenced this glamorous evening with his welcome note; he recognised the unique position of AAI amongst the competitors and briefed the audience on the journey of the AAI Life distribution arm embarked upon 10 years ago.
He further stressed that the commencement of the journey during the past decade sustained the same value system adopted by the company at the time, which has delivered benefits to the organisation and employees as well as to the policyholder.
Addressing the gathering, Ratnayeke underlined that the Board together with the shareholders looked forward to greater achievements of the talented sales force with confidence. He also commended the achievements of the sales force and expressed his gratitude for raising the AAI flag high in the insurance arena, and looking ahead, to become the force to be reckoned with.
Whilst congratulating the winners, Jasinghe stated that the unique business strategies and processes that AAI had adopted and followed had driven the company towards sustainable achievement building stability, which had enabled the company to discover new vistas of innovation and success within the insurance industry over the past decade.
G. M. Lahiru Maduranga from Kottawa Regional Distribution Office was awarded Best Performer of the year, while C. Tharaka Weerasinghe of Kegalle Regional Distribution Office claimed the Asian Alliance’s Most Valuable Sales Person Award.
Provincial Sales Manager – Panadura Kapila Suriyaarachchi was awarded Best Regional Distribution Manager while Arjuna Herath from Kegalle and H.M.G. Jayasinghe from Ja-Ela claimed the runner up awards.
Nishantha M. Jayaweerage of the Wattala Divisional Office claimed the award for Best Field Manager of 2010 whilst C. Upul Jayasekera from Nugegoda was awarded as the Best Territorial Manager of 2010.
