The Association of Professional Bankers – Sri Lanka (APB) organised yet another successful evening seminar on the topic, ‘The Budget 2016 and its impact on the economy in general, and the banking industry in particular’. The seminar was held on 2 December at the HNB Towers Auditorium.

This year too, three renowned speakers, specialised in three different key professions, Dr. Anura Ekanayake, Economist and a past Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Sulaiman Nishtar, Partner Ernest &Young, and an active senior member of the APB, Jonathan Alles, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer – HNB, shared their valuable insights on ‘2016 Budget’ at this seminar. Speakers talked on different key perspectives of the budget proposals and how they would impact on the banking industry. The seminar was followed by a vibrant Question & Answer session, which added much value to the event.

This is a flagship event in the APB’s annual calendar.  The seminar was well-attended by many senior bankers and other professionals in the corporate sector, who were delighted to hear the constructive, salient views of the eminent personalities in the panel.
