Allianz Lanka recently opened a fully operational branch in Jaffna, at no. 100, Manipay Road, in the heart of the city.
Allianz in Jaffna provides the people with world class Life and General insurance solutions befitting its international reputation. The company’s Jaffna branch is headed by Branch Managers Murugiah Mahendraraj and Kunam Sri Ram.
Despite not having had a fully fledged operation in the North, the local subsidiary of global insurance and financial services giant Allianz has been active in the markets of northern Sri Lanka since the beginning of 2010.
In celebration of its advent to the North, Allianz Lanka launched a new product, Shakthi, which is designed to cater to the specific needs of the people of Jaffna. This reiterates the company’s customer focus as a market leader who understands customer needs and translates them into affordable products that are value for money.
In her welcome address at the branch opening, Allianz CEO Surekha Alles declared, “Allianz is not an unknown brand to this territory. Recognition of the Allianz brand among the people of the North has helped us to speedily gain ground here.”
“Allianz respects the uniqueness of each individual and the diversity of each culture, everywhere in the world. This is the reason for our strong presence in more than 70 countries, and most importantly, our market leadership in many of those countries. We service over 80 million different ethnicities around the world, people having trusted us for over a century. And we will continue to keep our promises to them. The trust that our customers have in us is what has helped us grow into a conglomerate of such massive proportions,” she added.
In addition to providing the people of the North with total financial freedom, as a socially responsible corporate the insurer also partners the Government’s efforts in rebuilding the North Eastern region. Last year, all community projects centered around the North and East, and this year too the company continues its focus on the region. In Jaffna, Allianz continued its mission of striving to elevate the standards of the community in which it operates by providing the Vembady school of underprivileged students with musical instruments and sports goods to expand extracurricular activities that serve to create the well balanced child.
