Expressing his views on this significant step by the SDB bank, CEO Thilak Piyadigama elaborated: “This initiative by the SDB bank is important in many ways. For one, this marks a new chapter of our digital journey as this provides our customers with access to a wide range of digital payment options and additional services. This will definitely complement their life style and add to the quality of life by simplifying daily chores. On the other hand, we are glad to be actively involved in a mission to drive the country towards a cashless society, directly contributing to the country’s development. We also believe that digital innovations of this nature are important in reaching out to the under-banked population, a goal that’s embedded in the very roots of the SDB bank.”
