SLII Council with diploma holders
Lauding the academic excellence, the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute (SLII) held its fourth convocation ceremony

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Jagath Alwis as Chief Guest, SLII President Sithumina Jayasundara, and other distinguished guests. The graduation ceremony was held in adherence to all COVID-19 related guidelines.
A total of 300 individuals have successfully completed their programs and received their diplomas and certificates in Insurance Foundation Course, SLII Diploma in Insurance, Advance Course in General Insurance, Life Insurance Course in Medical Underwriting, Motor Assessors Course and CII Certificate level Courses.
Sharing his thoughts on the convocation, SLII President Jayasundara said: “SLII, the country’s only study centre dedicated to Insurance has introduced and launched several programs over the years to provide knowledge and exposure for insurance professionals to excel in their respective careers. I’m truly pleased to see such a passionate and driven group of professionals to be a part of SLII. The institute will be expanding its scope by introducing new programs and modules to benefit the industry. I wish to congratulate all those who received their diplomas and certificates.”
Driven by an enduring commitment to enhance the scope of insurance in Sri Lanka, SLII formed several affiliations over the years with recognised international bodies, including The Chartered Insurance Institute of UK and the Insurance Institute of India to offer a broad range of recognised qualifications at Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma levels. In partnering with distinguished educational entities, we pursue professional excellence, along with the continuous support of the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka as well as Registered Insurance companies and broker organisations in the country. SLII has a membership base of around 3,000, which includes honorary members, ordinary members and registered members.
