Sampath Bank PLC’s constant drive to innovate was recognised once again when it picked up 3 awards at the Infosys Finacle Client Innovation Awards 2019 held in India recently.
Three revolutionary products of Sampath Bank, namely, Slip-less Banking, iGift mobile app, and Digital Cash Margin Loan, were recognised under the ‘Mid-Size Banks’ category. Slip-less Banking clinched the Gold award for ‘Product Innovation’, which is a testament to the novel and convenient banking experience offered through the eco-friendly mobile app. The Bank’s iGift mobile app which set up a new gifting trend was declared the Gold winner of the ‘Emerging Technology led Innovation’ category. The Digital Cash Margin Loan which was offered through Sampath Vishwa won the Silver award for ‘Customer Service Innovation’ for providing a fully-automated loan service.

The Infosys Finacle Client Innovation Awards is an annually held event and this time in its fifth edition, the awards sought to recognise banks that deliver breakthrough innovations in banking products, customer service, process design and distribution channels capitalising on Finacle solutions.
With over 250 nominations received across eight categories, this year saw the highest number of nominations – more than 50% over the last year. The eight award categories include – Product Innovation, Channel Innovation, Customer Service Innovation, Process Innovation, Innovative Custom Components, Accelerated Transformation, APIs led Innovation and Emerging Technologies-led Innovation. The nominations were evaluated by an expert jury on the basis of three criteria – Innovation Quotient, Benefits Quotient, and Complexity Quotient.
