SDFL’s e-commerce initiatives to empower customers

The Sarvodaya Development Finance (SDFL) which always sets its goals on giving the most innovative services to its customer has come up with several novel methods for the convenience of its customers.

This is part of the SDFL’s e-commerce initiatives which will empower it customers to get access to services with the least amount of inconvenience, SDFL CEO Nilantha Jayanetti said.

The e-commerce platform provides several services including facilities for customers to make their payments via their mobile phones through Mobitel’s M cash as well as to send or receive payments via Western Union.

Other services include a hotline 1319 which customer can contact during working hours if they have any financial emergencies and be assured of response within an hour. “This service is meant for those who have any financial emergencies. Once they call our hotline, we will contact our branch neatest to them and they will get a response within an hour,” Jayanetti assured.

“This is an emergency service for the financial sector,” he added.

Among the other innovative facilities that SDFL gives its customers is an ATM card that goes with their savings account which can be used through any ATM across the country which are connected through Lanka Pay.

“We want to reach put to the SME sector in particular who are the backbone of Sri Lankan economy,” Jayanetti added.
