NDB’s 2018 Annual Report themed ‘Aspiration + Execution = Domination’ was recognised with four awards at the fifth annual CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2019 organised by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA).
NDB bagged the ‘Best Integrated Report – Banking Sector’ award, an award category which is highly competitive and much sought-after by the leading banks within the industry. The Bank also won the ‘Bronze Award’ and was adjudged the Second Runner Up, as well as the, ‘Most Improved Integrated Report’ across all sectors. Meanwhile, the Bank was also felicitated with the ‘Ten Best Integrated Reports’ award for the most outstanding annual report across all sectors.
The awards ceremony was held on 9 September at Hotel Taj Samudra in line with the ‘CMA National Management Accounting Conference 2019 and Commonwealth Accountants Conference’ and inaugural meeting of the Commonwealth Accountants Association. The evaluation of these awards were carried out as per the framework issued by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), by an eminent international and local panel of judges, with expertise in integrated reporting practices across the globe. NDB takes pride in placing clarity, cohesiveness and transparency at the centre of all its annual reports, which is the most important document that is presented to a wide array of audience including the Bank’s shareholders.
