The KPMG Sri Lanka Academy will be conducting a Virtual Assembly to discuss the “The Inland Revenue Amendment Bill” on the 14 October at 9:30 a.m.
The much-awaited Bill to Amend the Inland Revenue Act has been approved by the Cabinet and published in the Gazette.
This webinar will shed light on the latest changes to the Income Tax and Withholding Tax regime. The Bill stipulates three distinct dates on which the new amendments will attain the force of law. Some provisions are retrospective. Changes include re - introduction of withholding tax, mandatory APIT and AIT, removal of exemptions, increase of tax rates etc. The discussion would enable the participants to comprehend the new changes that would affect businesses and investments.
The session will be conducted by KPMG Sri Lanka Principal Suresh Perera, Director Rifka Ziyard and Director Tax and Regulatory Hasna Hassan.
