Insurance regulator seeks public complaints

The Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) in a notice has requested the insuring public, policyholders or any other interested members of the general public to submit their complaints and/or views on selling insurance policies through Mobile Network/Fixed Line Operators or any related matters.

The interested parties are requested to submit their complaints/views/information in writing along with the contact details to the “Chairman, Sub-Committee on Mobile Insurance,” on or before 14 October.

The IRCSL is a statutory authority established under the provisions of the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act No. 43 of 2000 to develop, supervise and regulate the insurance industry in Sri Lanka with a view to safeguarding the interests of policyholders and potential policyholders.
