The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) has postponed the ‘Dialogue with Public Listed Companies’ scheduled for Thursday 25 April, at the Hilton Colombo, and places on record its appreciation of the time taken by many listed entities to write in confirming attendance and for conveying topics they wished to discuss as well as for making detailed submissions.
The unprecedented, tragic events of Sunday, 21 April, present formidable challenges at a national, governmental and institutional/corporate level, which the SEC as the apex regulator of the capital market, identifies and empathises with and thus believes that all stakeholders require time at this very moment to engage in activities to rapidly restore normality and to regain stability. All Public Listed Companies (PLCs) will be written to individually.
