Underscoring its commitment to supporting and promoting inclusive digital banking in Sri Lanka, Cargills Bank was honoured with a Silver Award and two Merit Awards at the recently concluded LankaPay Technnovation Awards 2022.
Cargills Bank won the Silver Award for the ‘Best LankaPay Card Implementer of the Year’ and one Merit Award each for ‘Acquirer Bank for the Best Mobile Application for Retail Payment via LankaQR’ and ‘Acquirer Bank for the Best Mobile Application for Retail Payment via Just Pay’. Attesting to Cargills Bank’s unique customer service and digital-first service delivery model, the Bank was also recognised amongst the three nominees for the highly coveted ‘Bank on Excellence in Customer Convenience’ Award.

The annual LankaPay Technnovation Awards is Sri Lanka’s first and apex awarding body for payment technology innovation. Launched in 2019, the LankaPay Technnovation Awards is organised and hosted by LankaClear Ltd, the operator of the LankaPay national payments network. The objective of the awards program is to recognise the best payment technology innovations across the island and reward those who have made outstanding contributions towards promoting electronic payments and enhancing customer service and convenience. The Awards program and process is highly competitive, with candidates required to match exacting requirements, and all entries being judged by an independent panel of industry experts.
