The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) will be conducting ‘Beyond Basics’ for the third time, titled ‘Beyond Basics: Setting Standards for Climate Disclosure and Action’. The forum will offer participants an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals and best practices of climate reporting, delivered through a panel of renowned local and global Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) experts.
The forum is set to take place on 9 August from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be conducted via Microsoft Teams to enable convenient access to participants. The platform anticipates bringing together listed and non-listed company Chairpersons, CEOs and CFOs, Executive and Non-Executive Directors, Senior Management, as well as ESG and Sustainability Leads and representatives.
The half-day forum will comprise insightful presentations on ‘Connecting the Dots between Climate Action and Disclosure’; ‘Assessing the Climate Impact of your Business & Setting Effective Standards’; ‘The Corporate Approach to Transparency in Climate Reporting’, and a moderated panel discussion on ‘Climate Disclosure & Action – Why Greater Transparency is Vital’.
