Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Bank, Bank of Ceylon opened its second state-of-the art self serving BOC Digi at World Trade Centre (WTC) Colombo with the participation of the Bank’s CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara, Deputy General Manager Product and Banking Development M.J.P. Salgado, Deputy General Manager Sales and Channel Management C. Amarasinghe, members of the corporate and executive management, other bank officials and customers. This is the second of its kind, self-serving BOC Digi, since the one at the Kandy City Centre was opened last year. Presenting a novel experience in digital banking BOC Digi led the innovation space in Sri Lankan banking industry to carry-out 24 x 7.
“Having the first of its kind BOC Digi in Kandy City Centre and expanding it to World Trade Centre is a proud moment for us to celebrate. Adding convenience to digital life-style of nowadays customers, ‘BOC Digi’ concept will advance to many more strategic locations in the country to provide an ultra-modern banking experience that empowers customers to conduct account opening, cheque depositing, obtaining information, self serving through Kiosk (to apply for SmartGen accounts, Smart FD personal loans, and home loans) and utility bill payment through kiosk at any time of the day throughout the year,” stated CEO/General Manager Senarath Bandara.
As a part of the Bank’s digital journey, BOC Digi has set a significant landmark to suit the next generation. The BOC DIGI’s vibrant corporate colour theme of golden yellow, purple, black and its ambiance invite customers to experience a unique digital experience. Intuitive and personalised interiors with seating, location of equipment, lighting and ceiling interfaces at ‘BOC DIGI’ WTC are also designed to offer a unique look and ambience, transforming the daily banking transactions experience for the digitally-savvy customer in terms of self-banking.
