With the aim of providing a greater convenience accompanied with digital banking while strengthening the bank’s presence, Bank of Ceylon (BOC) recently relocated its Wijerama branch to a new building and deployed a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) within University of Sri Jayewardenepura premises.
Two events took place with the patronage of BOC Deputy General Manager (Branch Credit Operations – Range II) Y.A. Jayathilaka, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Registrar A.B. Welivita, Bursar K.T.C. Priyanganie, BOC Chief Marketing Officer Sameera Liyanage, Assistant General Manager (Western Province South) W.K.L.B.N. Samanthie and Operational Manager (Western Province South) M.N.U. Abeysundara. The launch of the CRM was held with the presence of University of Sri Jayewardenepura Vice Chancellor Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage as the Guest of Honour. The CRM which is located within University of Sri Jayewardenepura premises would provide ease and convenience to university students and others to conduct their financial transactions without having to step outside of the university premises.
The spacious branch located in a new building enhances the convenience of banking to its customers with more spacious and organised ambiance and extended digital banking services that comes with ATM/CRM which enables customers to transact 24/7 for 365 days. BOC Wijerama is connected with the network of 646 BOC branches across the country, hence, granting customers with the privilege of carrying out banking transactions to any part of the country through the Wijerama branch.
The branch also offers a wide range of banking services to its customers inclusive of deposit products such as current and local or foreign currency savings/fixed deposit accounts, investment plans, retail loan products and special development loans schemes. Moreover, customers can also avail themselves of international debit/credit cards and international money transfer/remittances services. In order to conduct daily banking transactions with greater convenience, customers can also enrol for digital banking services such as BOC Smart online banking, B-APP mobile banking and SmartPay QR scan mobile app through the branch.
