Arthavida Intermediary Ltd. (AIL), which is a leader in the micro finance sector in Sri Lanka, honoured its employees, branches and community facilitators at the River Green Resort in Panadura on 27 July with the participation of Arthavida Founder Sathis de Mel, Chairman Dr. D.S. Liyanage, CEO Thilak Abeysinghe, the Board of Directors and its employees.

H.M. Sirisena was adjudged with the Arthavida Silver award for serving the company for more than 25 years; 21 members received Arthavida 10+ trophies for being with AIL for more than 10 years.

Regional Best Community Facilitator awards winners were Champa Kalyani – Nikaweratiya Branch, Ravina Thathsarani – Tangalle Branch, Thasintha Madushani – Galle branch and Erandi Kaushalya – Hikkaduwa branch, while the 2nd Runner Up was Champa Kalyani from the Nikaweratiya Branch and the 1st Runner Up was Malsha Dilshani from Hikkaduwa Branch. They all received trophies, cash awards and certificates.

Erandi Kaushalya was conferred with the Sathis de Mel Best Community Facilitator trophy being the Outstanding Community Facilitator for the year 2018 with a trophy, certificate and a cash award. 

“Employees are the backbone of our company. They come to us before our customers, hence our foremost responsibility is to recognise efforts of these employees annually who contribute towards the success of the company,” said the CEO addressing the gathering. The night followed by a dinner dance and some entertainment acts performed by the staff.
