The shares of Alpha Fire Services Ltd. were listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday.
The shares have been listed on the Empower Board of the CSE under the ‘2010 – Capital Goods’ sector. The occasion was marked with a special bell ringing ceremony.
Representing Alpha Fire Services were Chairman/Managing Director Vijith Perera, Executive Non-Independent Director Samud Gunasekara, Co-Founder/Non-Executive/Non-Independent Director Deanne Ryde, Head of Finance S. Branavan and Kalhari Perera. Financial advisor and manager to the issue, Acuity Partners Ltd. Group Managing Director and CSE Director and past Chairman Ray Abeywardena and the team represented the event.
The CSE was represented at the event by its CEO Rajeeva Bandaranaike and the senior management.
Speaking at the ceremony, Bandaranaike congratulated Alpha Fire Services on its initiative to go public. “CSE established a dedicated board for SME companies with the view of providing an opportunity on one hand for SME companies to reach out for market-based funding and also to broaden the scope of companies that are listed on the exchange.
“We at CSE are indeed happy that companies are now beginning to make use of the Empower Board. Alpha Fire Services Limited is the first equity listing through an introduction for the year 2022. The company is a leading fire protection and detection service in Sri Lanka with over 30 years of experience, providing services to both the private and public sector.”
