65 Commercial Bank branches to operate on Deepavali Day

As Hindus around the world celebrate Deepavali – ‘the festival of lights’ – on Wednesday, 22 October, a public and bank holiday, the Commercial Bank of Ceylon will keep 65 branches open for business on that day for the convenience of customers. This includes the 28 Supermarket Banking Centres operated by the bank and 19 ‘365-day’ branches which will work their customary hours, and another 18 branches that will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on that day, the bank said. These 18 branches are Wellawatte, Kollupitiya, Kotahena, Maharagama, Borella, Nugegoda, Narahenpita, Battaramulla, Panchikawatte, Union Place, Wattala, Dehiwela, Kiribathgoda, Avissawella, Piliyandala, the Foreign Branch, Main Street (Colombo 1) and Katunayake.
