Bank of Ceylon will open its 500th ATM at the District Secretariat of Matara today, 10 June. BOC’s island wide ATM network provides a greater convenience to its customers.The bank’s ATMs are located at branches and service points offering uninterrupted service 24 hours, 365 days to customers. The BOC ATM network is linked with Visa, Visa Plus, Master, Cirrus and Maestro and therefore the bank’s customers could operate through any ATM in Sri Lanka as well as millions of ATMs across the world.
ATMs facilitate cash withdrawals, balance inquiry, and obtain details of transactions as well as settlement of utility bills (water and electricity) to customers.
Bank of Ceylon has invested heavily in expanding its touch points and network since the bank is committed to providing its customers with a quality and efficient service. This was one of the milestones of the bank’s commitment to developing the ATM network to shape the bank for the future.
Bank of Ceylon is the largest issuer of ATM cards in the country. BOC ATM cards consist of 14 Plus, 18 Plus, Kantha Ran Ginum, BOC Savings, NRFC account holders, Senior Citizens and Prestige Plus Professional Current Account holders and other personal current account holders as well. It is one of the most convenient ways of making payments over 13,000 outlets in Sri Lanka. Payments could also be made in over 22 million outlets worldwide. This facility is available around the clock for the customers who have BOC ATM cards. BOC is the number one bank in the country with over 600 branches and over 10 million customers.
