The Central Highlands with its unique biodiversity, forest cover and water ways was declared a World Heritage Site in 2010.
NARESA Additional Director General and author of the dossier nominating the Central Highlands as a World Heritage Site Leslie Wijesinghe will deliver an illustrated lecture on ‘Central Highlands of peak wilderness, Horton Plains and Knuckles – Sri Lanka’s newly inscribed World Heritage Site.’
The lecture under the auspices of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society will be held on Thursday, 17 November at 6 p.m. at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium at the Institute of Engineers located at 120/15, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 7. The lecture is open to the public and entrance is free.
