Hiru TV will have a top offering of films including a blockbuster this weekend for its viewers.
Today (Friday, 29 March) at 10 p.m., the famous Sinhala movie ‘Kristhu Charithaya’ (Life of Jesus) will be telecast. Directed by Sunil Ariyaratne, the movie’s cast includes iconic Wijaya Kumaranathunga, Menik Kurukulasooriya, Rosi Senanayake, Vishaka Siriwardena, Roy De Silva, Sathischandra Edirisinghe, Sumana Gomes, Rex Codippily, Wijaya Nandasiri, Wilson Karunaratne and Ananda Wickramage. Music for the film is by maestro Premasiri Kemadasa.
On Saturday, Hindi blockbuster movie ‘Kahani’ will be telecast at 10 p.m. Kahani is a 2012 Indian thriller film directed, co-written and co-produced by Sujoy Ghosh. It stars Vidya Balan, Parambrata Chatterjee and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Balan portrays Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband in the city of Kolkata during the Durga Puja festivities; she is helped in her quest by Satyaki ‘Rana’ Sinha (Chatterjee) and Khan (Siddiqui).
On Sunday at 12 noon, the Sinhala movie ‘Gini, Avi Saha Keli’ will be shown as part of Hiru TV’s lunchtime movie series. Directed and produced by Udayakantha Warnasooriya, the movie stars Jackson Anthony, Sreenath Maddumage, Palitha Silva, Mahendra Perera, Sriyantha Mendis, Sumana Gomes and Rangana Premaratne as part of the cast.
