The Imperial Hotel Tokyo will host a Sri Lanka fair at its buffet restaurant and bars on 16 March. The hotel, located in the Hibiya district of central Tokyo, has invited a chef from the Hotel Hilton Colombo for the fair.
Imperial Viking Sal is serving Sri Lankan cuisine and beverages, in addition to its regular buffet menu. The lunch buffet is 5,300 yen on weekdays and 5,800 yen on weekends. The dinner buffet is 7,900 yen on weekdays and 8,400 yen on weekends.
The two bars — the Imperial Lounge Aqua and the Rendez-Vous Lounge and Bar — have Sri Lankan tea and beer as well as cocktails containing arrack, an alcoholic spirit made of coconut milk and honey, in addition to regular drinks. Sri Lankan tea costs 1,580 yen, Sri Lankan beer is 1,160 yen, arrack costs 1,160 yen and arrack-based cocktails start from 1,580 yen. (japantimes)
