South of the Border 2010

The Old Boys Association, Colombo Branch of St. Aloysius` College Galle, which used to be run by the Jesuits who perfected the art of education worldwide is holding its Annual Dinner Dance on October 30, 2010 at the Galadari Hotel.

This project is to  improve the playground and provide a pavilion for  not only the lads of that school but also for the entire town which has been deprived of these facilities ever since the magnificent esplanade was turned into a cricket stadium depriving all other sports of any facilities.

True to the values inculcated in that school this dance too will  have the “feel“ of  perfection with Misty and Sohan & the Experiments providing the music to swing as only lads from the south know how.

That this is an outstation school is no barrier for these lads whose motto in life is “Certa Viriliter” – Strive Manfully. And this they do year after year organizing one of the best dances the capital city sees.

Aloysians and  others alike  are assured of a fun time as the southern breeze wafts  through the Ballroom of the Galadari and turns the tranquil atmosphere in there into a storm.
