Summer Camp commenced with the children experiencing the gathering of Elephants at Minneriya National park with Nature Trails and camping out in tents that night. The lighting of the camp fire and games around the campsite was the highlight of their evening.
The kids were off to an early start the next day where they went on a discovery challenge and village trek coupled with an amazing race. The night concluded with an exciting talent show where the kids presented some stellar performances. The final day of Summer Camp began with a family cake icing competition, followed by a paintball competition and the awards ceremony which officially marked the end of Summer Camp 2015.

“Nature Trails launched the annual Summer Camp back in 2010, and this year its 7th edition unfolded at the Cinnamon Lodge, packed with safaris, adventure, amazing race in search of a Land Rover Discovery and more. The maestro Rukshan Perera voice trained the 51 children for the Camp Party talent show while the final event gave all children an opportunity to shoot paintball on a moving Land Rover. HSBC-Premier supported Summer Camp this year with Land Rover Sri Lanka providing amazing gifts for the winning teams including the Discovery challenge. It was yet another amazing camp, and we look forward to something very different next year,” said Chitral Jayatilake, Head of Nature Trails at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts.
