Roti and kottu fest at the Curry Leaf

Colombo’s authentic Sri Lankan and Seafood restaurant Curry Leaf at the Hilton Colombo will serve a variety of rotis and kottu roti from 20 to 30 September from 7 p.m. to midnight. The famous Sri Lankan dish kottu roti is enjoyed not only amongst the locals but also by many foreign travellers visiting the country. Having set a record for preparing 2,100 kilo grams of kottu roti in 2008, the hotels’ kottu roti is something the hotel boasts about. The team of chefs have mastered the art of making kottu roti and other rotis in true Sri Lankan style giving the diners a local treat. Ranging from pol roti with traditional Sri Lankan curries to kottu rotis such as crab and prawn, godamba roti stuffed with fish and chicken accompanied by Jaffna crab curry, fish ambultial, Batticalo cuttle fish curry and Sri Lankan vegetable curries, the list goes on. The fresh seafood display at the restaurant gives the diners an opportunity to choose their own seafood and have it prepared a la minute just the way the guests like it. Whether its grilled, steamed, stir fried or deep fried the choice is yours. Apart from the above, crispy hoppers, pittu, string hoppers and various yams are also dished out.
