Q&E partnered with Pet Vet to develop a new brand identity for the clinic that represents the reputation it has built as the most professional and compassionate veterinary service in Sri Lanka. Staffed with veterinarians who are true animal lovers, and whose faculty includes veterinary doctors qualified with PhDs, degree holders from USA and Cambridge University UK, and members of the Royal Veterinary Association.
Pet Vet Clinic is deeply committed to animal care. Pet Vet’s new tagline – ‘Your Pet. Our Passion’, sends a strong message about the niche that the clinic has created in the industry, since its inception in 1996.
Pet Vet Clinic was founded by three young female veterinarians. Incorporating the female-skewed start to the business and to pay homage to their founding principles, Q&E created the new logo using a pink and purple font; the colours were retained from Pet Vet’s previous colour scheme to trigger brand loyalty. Q&E made further use of the purple colour to signify the premium quality service that’s available at the clinic. Silhouettes of a puppy and a kitten represent Pet Vet’s fun and affectionate approach to treating pets. The striking logo embodies the joy of owning a pet and the enjoyable approach encouraged by the clinic when caring for pets.
The clinic focuses on CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to keep abreast of the latest technique, knowledge and research on advancements in the veterinary services that provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment to companion animals.
“I wanted to create a brand that was applicable to all of Pet Vet’s services and future projects, while continually associating the brand with the clinic’s strongest and most distinct identity, which is their fundamental love of animals, combined with benchmarked quality,” said Sumith Nandana Kalupahana, Art Director of Q&E.
Pet Vet Clinic will also launch a user-friendly website conceptualised and designed by Q&E, detailing the breadth and depth of their services to animal care and the veterinary industry. Q&E recommended this communications strategy to assist the clinic’s need to connect to a wider audience and make a strong impact on investors in order to raise future ventures off the ground. The clinic provides a comprehensive veterinary service to over 8,000 clients, from grooming to complicated surgery. Detailed case histories are maintained for each animal and as part of the thorough service that’s provided to ensure continuity with consistent and holistic care. There are two concrete initiatives that demonstrate the edge that Pet Vet maintains in the veterinary industry. Pet Vet is the only clinic in Sri Lanka to offer gas-based anesthesia for surgery resulting in lower risk and lower levels of stress for the animal, while recovery is also proven to be faster and smoother. Another scheme is the Multi-doctor Model, where the clinic’s in-house doctors meet daily for rounds and once a week to discuss in detail a particular patient’s case which they feel requires collaborative attention.
Pet Vet’s involvement with the Society of Companion Animal Practitioners (SCAP), to maintain professionalism in veterinary services, and Pet Vet’s collaboration with the Blue Paw Trust (BPT) to provide effective rabies roaming control solutions, are examples of Pet Vet’s dedication to the veterinary profession.
